Handmade Enamel and Delicate Rosette Design Sterling Silver Dangle Earrings, Necklace
This small, filigree design, flower shape pair of earrings is made of sterling silver and enamel.
This product was named after the middle symmetrical motif formation. Its design was inspired by the flower depiction often displayed in Hungarian folk art. In the transcription of the ornament, the features of the renaissance building decorations were also given space.
The earrings are small series, handdrawn and then cast pieces, they are about 35 mm long (with the hook) and 20 mm wide. The pendant alone is 20 mm x 20 mm rombus piece, the hooks are also made of sterling silver and are kidney ear wires which means you won't lose them because they close on the bottom of the back of the earrings!
What makes it especially beautiful is the lacey flower design in the rombus shape jewel which, when cast into this beautiful sterling silver jewel, is really light weight, simple and gorgeous.
The pendant is about 20 mm long and 20 mm wide.
How to take care of it
These earrings are made of sterling silver so that means that they turnish. From time to time, you may wish to clean it with silver dusting cloth, silver cleaning liquid or with toothpaste.
- these earrings are fragile
- never take a bath/shower with your jewelry on because moist is harmful even to noble metals
- when you take it off, keep your jewelry in the darkest, driest area of your home to maintain its original beauty for a long time
About The Artist
Rea is an award winning sterling silver jewel artist. She colours the beautiful, filigree, tendril pattern and arched motif silver jewellery with enamel. The end result is ethereal! In designing her jewellery she considers folk traditions as a starting point. With her work, she would like to contribute to maintaining the aesthetics mediated by folk object culture in our world of technology and uniformism.
It is very difficult to work enamel into sterling silver due to technological difficulties which makes this kind of jewellery very rare.
Here in Intuita shop, we have not met yet another artist who fuses enamel with sterling silver. The reason it is so rare is that enamel starts to melt at a lower degree (750-850 degrees Celcius) than silver (961.8 degree Celcius). That means that you have to be incredibly cautios and attentive so that the two material don't melt together into a big mess.
