Christmas Gift Ideas For Ladies Who Love Enamel Jewelry
Each year it can be a bit of a task to find unique, useful, fun Christmas gifts for our loved ones. Of course, you husband needs new socks each year and your mum will just love anything coming from you but my attempt here is to show you that in Intuita Shop, you will find gifts that they will find amazing and most importantly heartfelt!
In this article I will show you uniuely handcrafted, heartwarming Christmas gifts made from enamel. The meaning of the title is a bit misleading - I did not mean that enamel is the first material that comes to mind when thinking about Christmas gifts rather than when a woman thinks about a truly unique type of jewelry.
What is Intuita Design Store?
Intuita is a collective online and offline store of more than 100 arists's work that are juried to be high quality and beautiful.
By purchasing from us you support local artists and the Slow Fashion Movemet! Intuita Shop is a small family business in the heart of Budapest, selling quality handmade artifacts mainly from the countryside of Hungary.
The Love Affair of Enamel and Copper
The first artist's work that I am going to show you today is a couple's work. Eszter, our great friend is an enamel artist and her husband creates unique shape copper plates and tendrils to accompany her beautiful pieces.
Their work together is truly unique and unrepeatable - the rough work of hand forging and the tender care of painted enamel.
You may shop their work in our webstore: https://intuita-designstore.com/collections/products/material_glass+design_fairy-forest
Light, fun, modern
Viki, our next artist is somewhat the opposite of the previous: her jewels are very light weight, very simple and they remind us of a spring garden full of colorful flowers!
You can find hundreds of jewel sets, earrings, necklaces and bracelets of hers in our webstore (psssst, they are quite inexpensive, too): https://intuita-designstore.com/collections/products/design_clear-forms-shiny-colors
Faces Painted With Enamel
One of the limitations of enamel is that you may only paint basic 2D shapes, snails, flowers, tendril with it. Allegedly, it is not possible to shade and light with it. Allegedly! Here are some of Grafi's works to prove you wrong!
He paints many-many extremely thin layers of enamel on top of each other to create a mini painting on each of his hairgrips and brooches!

Enamel Jewels From a Girl Novel
It might be due to the beautiful colors or the many dots and tendrils, but these jewels remind me very much of a girl's novel!
There are many shapes, designs and lengths, to shop our full selection please click here: https://intuita-designstore.com/collections/products/design_enchanted-enamel
The Magic of Sterling Silver and Enamel
You don't often hear those 2 materials - enamel and sterling silver - together too often. The reason is that in the process of making jewelry from them you need to sear them - at a high enough temperature so that it becomes liquid when so when it cools and hardens it becomes a solid piece of jewel.
Now here comes the interesting part: sterling silver melts at 890 degrees Celsius while enamel's melting point is between 750-850 degrees. Which means that it is a magic when these two don't melt into a big mess in the oven! :) Just so you have an idea, copper which is the most common companion material with enamel, starts to melt at 1000 degrees Celsius.

I hope you found something to your liking in the article about enamel jewelry. Although the title was meant for Christmas gift ideas but I believe (starting from myself) that most of women would be very happy to receive these pieces for any occasion!
Have a lovely day,
